On the background cutting instructions for the block, the first two lines should read:

(2) 2½” squares for piece C

(1) 3” square for piece B

Note that the C and B labels were switched and you should cut (2) 2½” squares per block. That means you will have (18) 2½” background squares total for the quilt.

On the background cutting instructions for the sashing, the last two lines should read:

(22) 2½” squares for piece C

(11) 3” square for piece B

Again, the labels were switched and the number of 2½” background C squares were doubled.
