We’re back with another Merry Makers block. Today we have the Quiltflake block by Stephanie Organes of Pretty Please.
I’m a sucker for appliqué (have you seen our Brambleberry quilt?) so when Stephanie share her block I did a little happy dance.
As far as fabrics, I wanted to keep the background consistent with the other blocks, which meant my snowflake couldn’t be a light. Cue this geo patchwork brick print from Ciao Bella! This print chops up really well and I thought it would give a lot of movement to the snowflake. The colors make me think of pinecones on snow.
