How did planning go? I thought the coloring sheet was helpful, or you just had fun coloring. Maybe a little of Column A and a little of Column B? I hope you got everything squared away and you’re ready and raring to sew.
Since I’m doing all one background, I decided to cut my sashing strips off my background yardage (that way I won’t get all rotary cutter happy and use up my fabric). I rolled it all up so I don’t have to keep track of separate strips. One thing checked off the list.
I’m also only using one colorful fabric per row. For this row I got ⅓ of a yard, and this is what I had left:
A quarter of a yard was just too close for me, and who gets mad about having extra Tula laying around?
The hourglasses went really fast. I made sure to make the stripes go all directions because if I tried to make them go all one direction I’d mess up one and it would bug me. All the directions it is! I think it gives it a lot of movement. One sashing strip on the bottom and my stripey Tula row is complete.
Time to see what you’ve got up your sleeve!
